Lord Provost extends invitation to Aung San Suu Kyi to visit Edinburgh

Edinburgh's Lord Provost has written to the Burmese opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi to invite her to visit Scotland's Capital city as part of her stay in Britain this June.
Lord Provost Banquet raises nearly £30,000 for charity

Two cheques for £13,392 were today presented to charities by Lord Provost George Grubb following a Banquet held in Edinburgh late last month.
