mParkThe innovative way to pay for parking!mPark is an innovative way to pay for on-street parking in the centre of Edinburgh using mobile phones. mPark means that drivers do not have to scramble for change when they are paying for parking. Edinburgh was the first UK city to offer motorists a choice of how to pay for on-street parking. All Pay & Display machines are equipped to use mPark - however, coins are still accepted. Drivers must pre-register to use mPark using the contact details at the bottom of this page, and their mobile phone number will then be recognised whenever they call the main service number. The cost of the parking transaction is logged against the mobile phone, so there is no need to carry a supply of coins. Users can also opt to have an SMS text message sent to them 10 minutes before their voucher expires so that they can return to their vehicle in good time and avoid a parking ticket. *Reminder texts will cost 20p. InstructionsUsing mPark is simple and avoids the need to find the correct change when you use on-street parking.
