Protecting adults at risk of harmMost adults and older people with mental illness, physical or learning disabilities or other special needs manage to live their lives comfortably and securely, either independently or with the help of caring relatives, friends, neighbours, professionals or volunteers. However, for a small number, dependence on others may put them at risk of harm and lead to conflict, exploitation, harm or neglect. If you or someone you know is being abused, you should tell someone immediately and/or contact one of the following agencies. These agencies will take your concerns seriously and work with you and others to make sure that everyone is safe.
