Beat the winter blues and "credit crunch itis" with a family day out in Edinburgh.

The Scottish Storytelling Centre, The City of Edinburgh Council and Edinburgh World Heritage are encouraging families to brace the chilly weather and join them on an adventure which dates back 350 million years!

Wrap up warm, pack a picnic with a flask of hot chocolate and perhaps some marshmallows and you've got a day to remember!  Head along to:

The Old & New Towns of Edinburgh World Heritage Site - talk a walk around the historic buildings and streets of yesteryear.  Explore the mysterious closes and wynds to stimulate everyone's imagination.  Have your picnic sitting in Princes Gardens or Holyrood Park.
