If there is not a community library close by, you may be able to borrow books from a mobile library. The timetable shows areas of the city currently covered by this service.

What if I can’t find what I want?

Requests are free, and staff will obtain any ‘for loan’ item from more than 500,000 items on the library catalogue.

How do I join the mobile library?

You don’t need a library card to come on to the mobile, but you do need one to borrow books etc from the mobile library. Membership is free and you can use your card to borrow and return items at any Community or mobile library in Edinburgh.
