More services for people with additional support needsThe Care Home and Sheltered Housing ServiceEdinburgh Libraries provides a monthly service to care homes, retirement flats and sheltered housing complexes across the city. Library staff visit each home on our timetable with a range of materials to provide an individual service to residents. Reminiscence ResourcesWe offer a range of reminiscence resources which can be borrowed free of charge by both groups and individuals. Book BusBook Bus is a mobile library bus for children and young people who cannot easily access library services. Book Bus visits special schools, child and family centres and selected primary schools. It aims to promote the fun of reading and inspire new and exciting reading experiences. Reading Champion ProjectThis project promotes reading and the enjoyment of books to looked after children and young people in residential care. Funded by the Paul Hamlyn Foundation, it involves a wide range of partners working together to improve access to books and reading for looked after young people.
