CD and DVD ServiceHow many CDs and DVDs do you have?The citywide collection contains over 50,000 CDs and over 1,000 DVDs for loan What kind of things can I watch and listen to?CDs - Huge range of music including jazz, world music, rock and classical. Try some of our box sets! There are also sound effects, copyright free music, sound samples and famous speeches. DVDs - mainly classic films and world cinema. Specialist music titles are held at Sighthill and the Music Library, and art titles can be borrowed from or viewed at the Fine Art Library. How many items can I borrow?You can borrow up to 12 items altogether. How much does it cost?You can borrow up to 12 CDs for 3 weeks, DVDs for one week. How does the law affect the loan of CDs?Due to music industry restrictions, most new titles are not available to libraries until 3 months after the release date.
