Space Hop - The Summer Reading Challenge 2010Get down to your local library this summer to take a giant leap to the final frontier – space! You can be part of a special space mission that will take you out of this world. Pick up a free membership card and fold-out poster, then read your way through three stages: Blast Off!; Space Race and Lunar Landing. There are stickers to collect along the way and a gold medal, certificate and glow-in-the-dark mobile for every child who completes the challenge. Thanks to our generous sponsors there is also a chance for everyone who finishes the challenge to win book tokens and family tickets to all kinds of attractions. And thanks to the Royal Observatory Edinburgh there’ll be a free Dark Sky Scotland stargazing guide for every child who sets off on the Space Hop mission! Check out our events page to see what's happening in a library near you (including rocket making, moonwalking, chocolate crispy asteroids - there's even an inflatable planetarium!) Visit www.spacehop.org.uk for cool new books, games, author blogs, and a chance to share your favourite reads.
