Accessibility Strategy 2006 - 2009

The Children and Families Accessibility Strategy 2006 - 2009 aims to improve access to education for pupils with a disability. It covers access to the curriculum, the physical environment and improved information and communication. The strategy will also help us to meet our Disability Equality Duty.

This Accessibility Strategy follows on from the Accessibility Strategy set in place in 2003. Accessibility Strategy 2003 - 2005

Recent legislation requires the Council to prepare and implement an accessibility strategy to improve, over time, access to education for pupils and prospective pupils with disabilities.
