Licensing Sub-Committee

The remit of the Licensing Sub-Committee is:

• To determine individual applications for registration and licences under the Civic Government (Scotland) Act and other statutory provisions which are not delegated to officers, in accordance with approved policies.
• To exercise functions under legislation to deal with buildings in need of repair.
• To determine applications for road construction consent which are not delegated to the Director of City Development.
• To determine applications for permission to place tables and chairs on footways which are recommended for refusal by the Director of City Development.
• To exercise the Council's responsibilities in respect of safety at sports grounds.
