Tollcross Community Centre

Tollcross Community Centre is part of a Community Wing attached to Tollcross Primary School. The Centre provides a base for numerous local and city wide groups to meet up socially and participate in a range of learning, recreational and creative activities.

The space consists of a reception area, an office, and five rooms: three meeting/teaching rooms, one art room with a darkroom and one general purpose/crèche room with a kitchen attached.

The Centre is located on the ground level. When you enter the school yard from the street, the centre is the first entrance on the right. The Primary School and Gaelic School are located to the left of the Community Wing.

Programme Profile:
Adult Learning Project (Groups include: Women’s assertiveness, history & art; culture, politics & community; literacy & creative writing), Tollcross Gaelic Parents Group, Tollcross Community Council, Tollcross and Fountainbridge Area Residents' meetings, Tollcross Councillor's surgeries. Ginger Bread After School Club, Tollcross Circus School, Edinburgh Samba School, Indian Music and Dance Collective, Hand in Hand, FEIS, Community Based English as a Second Language, Adult Literacy group, two Children's Art Clubs, Photography groups and classes, Gaelic classes, Scrapbooking Club, Sundanese Community, Dressmaking classes, Yoga, First Aid, Okinawa Kobudo, Reiki Healing group and Lothian Gaelic Choir.

Some of these groups and classes meet throughout the year while others only meet during school term time. For more information, contact the community centre office.
