The Rannoch Centre

Rannoch Community Centre is situated on the north side of the city close to the Clermiston and Drumbrae areas. The Centre, which was opened in 1979, has a busy weekly programme of activities.

The programme caters for all age groups, in particular young people and children, older people and adults with learning difficulties and mental health issues. The Centre is used as a venue for the Local Development Committee as it is a central point in the West area and is on a good bus route.

We now run groups for Under-3s four mornings a week. We also run an Easter club for Under-12s and a Summer Programme for 11-16 year olds. A guitar group and Karate for young people have started in the Centre. We offer ballet, tap and highland dance classes on a Saturday morning for young people and children. The Highland dance class can lead to examinations. For Older People we run discussion groups, walking group, carpet bowls (who play in a league) bingo, tea dance, sequence dance, mature movers exercise class.

The Community Council meets here on the second Monday of every month and the local Councillors hold their surgeries here every Monday.
