Jack Kane Community CentreFor a list of activities happening at the centre click here - Activities The Jack Kane Community Education Centre was open in the early 1970s and is situated in Craigmillar, on the North East side of Edinburgh. The centre serves the Greater Craigmillar community and others from outlying areas and is used by many groups throughout the week. The Community Centre is a large building that offers educational, social, leisure and recreational facilities to a number of diverse groups within the wider community. In addition, the centre strives to run holiday programmes for young people attending various clubs within the centre. This programme allows many young people to access outside activities they may not have been able to use previously. Alongside these identified activities the centre has also implemented intercultural exchanges. These exchanges have now been running for the previous four years. The centre is also used extensively as a venue for conferences and local group meetings.
