Gorgie Memorial HallFor a list of activities happening at Gorgie War Memorial click here - Activities Gorgie War Memorial Hall is situated on Gorgie Road and is an old church, which was opened in 1887 and affectionately known as the “little church in the field”. The building was bought by the Edinburgh corporation and has since seen many community uses by a wide variety of groups. The building has a very attractive garden which is well used in the summer months, and the hall inside is utilised by a range of community groups providing a varied programme of activities and social and learning opportunities. The building comprises a kitchen, office and toilets. It is staffed by a Community Learning and Development worker, part-time clerical assistant, cleaner in charge and part-time janitor.
