Cycling in the Pentlands

The Pentland Hills Regional Park is a great place to enjoy on wheels! Over the past few years, mountain biking has become a popular activity in the Pentland Hills Regional Park, with many routes available for responsible riders to enjoy.

Whether you are out with your family or looking for a more gruelling challenge there are routes for all levels of fitness and ability as most of the 100km of paths in the Pentlands are suitable for cycling.

The Lothian cycle campaign sells cycle maps of Edinburgh and the Lothians through an on-line shop and at bike/book shops.

Sustrans The sustainable transport charity have an online map of the National Cycle Network and its local connections. They also sell local area maps of the network through their online shop.
