Lauriston Castle and Grounds

Only three miles from the bustle of Princes Street, Lauriston Castle
is set in 30 acres of parkland and formal gardens with spectacular
views overlooking the Firth of Forth.

A 19th century mansion built around a 16th century tower house,
the Castle has been home to a number of notable Scots.

It’s Edwardian-period interiors remain exactly as they were in 1926
and provide an ideal backdrop to a rich collections of furniture and
applied art.

Lauriston is a time capsule, transporting visitors to the elegant
days at the dawn of the 20th century.

The grounds include an Italianate rose garden and the Japanese
‘Edinburgh Kyoto Friendship Garden’, completed in 2002.
