Where can I study art and design in Edinburgh?

Leith School of Art
Founded in 1988, Leith School of Art offers part-time courses and full-time foundation and post-foundation courses, as well as workshops and a five week summer school.

Edinburgh College of Art
One of the oldest and largest art colleges in Europe, ECA consists of six Schools representing aspects of art, design and environmental studies.

University of Edinburgh
The University offers a variety of Arts courses, including History of Art, Fine Art, Classical Art and Archaeology. It is also possible to study architecture and architectural history.

Heriot-Watt University
Her iot-Watt University is based on two campuses - the School of Textiles and Design is based in Galashiels, 35 miles from Edinburgh, and offers a variety of textiles and fashion courses. The Architecture and Landscape Architecture courses are taught at the Edinburgh College of Art but can lead to Heriot-Watt qualifications.

Telford College
The School of Creative Arts offers a wide range of full and part time courses in the areas of fine art, graphic design, textiles & fashion and digital media.

Queen Margaret University College
QMUC offers an MSc Art Therapy course, a Summer School in Creative Art Therapies, an Art Therapy Foundation Certificate and a degree course in Arts Management.

Stevenson College
One of the largest further education institutions in Scotland, Stevenson College offers a variety of programmes in art, media and photography.
