Music Library

The Music Library contains the largest collection of publicly accessible material on music and dance in Scotland. It is also one of the largest music libraries in the UK - the staff have matching expertise and can help you find what you want, whether it's books, scores, CDs or DVDs.

The Library is one of the departments in the main Central Library. However it is not in the main building but in the next building as you walk away from the Royal Mile. It is currently only accessible down a flight of stairs. but we are happy for items to be taken to the main building for consultation, or sent to one of our community libraries, many of which also have CD and DVD collections.
