Carry a Poem - February 2010
- Tom Leonard - outside the narrative. A very special event with one of Scotland's most influential writers, reading from and discussing his collection Outside the narrative: poems 1965 - 2009. Sunday 7 February at 2.30pm. Free event but book a ticket in advance from the library.
- Carry a poem aloud. Do you have a favourite poem? Do you love hearing poems read aloud? Come to our poems aloud session where we'll be sharing the poems we carry around with us in our hearts (and our pockets). Bring any poem you'd like to hear and share and we'll read a few from our roving poetry collection. Wednesday 3 February, 6.30pm - 8.00pm free, non-ticketed

Creative writing: Always wanted to write but can't get started? A free, tutor-led course, in association with South West Community Learning and Development, will run at the library for 6 weeks from Thursday 4 February 2010, running from 1-3pm. Why not come along to find your inner creative talents?
- Crafty Fridays: Children's arts and crafts 2.30-3.30. First Friday of the month.
- Funday Sundays: Family activities each month 2.30-3.30.
- Book group: first Wednesday of every month 6.30pm -7.30pm (still some places); fourth Wednesday of the month 10.15am-11.00am (currently full)
- Chatterbooks: book group for young people p6 and p7, first Monday of the month 16.00am-17.00am. Starting 7 September 2009
- Rhymetimes: fortnightly, Friday 10.30-11.00. Starting 8 January 2010

- Breastfeeding Cafe: for mums and babies, every Wednesday from 1.30 - 2.30
