Sharing books

Listening and talking, loving and sharing

Sharing books is a great way of building a strong and loving relationship with your baby.

Just by reading aloud to your baby for a few minutes every day you will see them grow into eager confident learners. Babies very quickly understand how books work and they will want to hold the books themselves and try to turn the pages.

Happy baby surrounded by books

Babies who share books from an early age develop good listening and language skills, and sharing books will be one of your most precious memories of when they were tiny.

Regular book sharing can give your children a head start when they begin school, and a lifelong love of books.

Why not borrow some of these books for babies and toddlers from your library, and see the range of attractive books available?
