There is a growing recognition, evident through a range of government policy initiatives, that communities themselves need to be involved in planning and influencing services and developing their own solutions to the health issues that affect them. This means that Community Learning and Development has a key role to strengthen and build on the work that is already underway at a local level to improve health and wellbeing. This group will meet on a quarterly basis to consider portfolios submitted by centres and to assess whether an award can be made at the appropriate level of accreditation in recognition of their work. Supporting resources
