Royston/Wardieburn Community Centre

Royston-Wardieburn is a large purpose built Community Centre in North Edinburgh.

It was built in 1965 and comprises of a number of meeting and activity rooms, coffee bar with servery, general purpose hall with stage and three offices. There is also a large sports hall and changing rooms.

The Centre has a staff team including a Community Learning and Development Worker, clerical and administrative workers, two service support officers who work alternate shifts, receptionists and café workers.

There are also a number of part-time youth workers, crèche workers and adult education tutors. The centre also offers support to new migrants from Eastern Europe space for public meetings, community activity etc. The current building is set to be replaced by a new centre based in the grounds of Royston School in 2008.

Programme Profile:

There is a weekly programme catering for all ages from young children to older people operating six days a week.
