Young Persons Service

The Young Persons Service (YPS) provides a housing support service based on home visits to a vulnerable client group established through a referral and assessment system. The YPS provides realistic Housing Advice and Support to young people aged 16 - 17 and up to 21 with a "looked after" background.

To use the service you must be either:

• Considering applying for your own tenancy
• Have your own tenancy

The YPS offers fair and confidential housing advice, information and support through open and honest discussion with you about your responsibilities as a tenant

The YPS will work with you to develop a support plan that helps you to prepare to move into your tenancy and manage your tenancy in an effective manner. The YPS works together with other relevant service providers to help clients engage with the service in a consistent and meaningful way.

The YPS is committed to maintaining and developing local contacts with a wide range of service providers allowing clients to access a broad variety of effective support sources.

Our service is accessed through a referral and assessment process.
