Home Insulation SchemeWe have some great news. If you live in a Home Insulation Scheme area, we could help you stop wasting energy in your home, reduce your fuel bills and save money.
The Home Insulation Scheme is Scottish Government funded, endorsed by the City of Edinburgh Council, and is delivered by the Energy Saving Trust. It is an area-based initiative that is offering energy saving advice and measures to designated areas of Scotland, and is also contributing towards meeting Scotland's challenging targets for reducing carbon emissions and fuel poverty. Households in Craigentinny and Duddingston have already benefited from the Home Insulation Scheme since it launched in November 2009, and it is now being extended to 14,000 homes in the Gracemount area, Corstorphine and Murrayfield. Teams of Home Energy Assessors are working their way across these areas from April 2010, taking a street-by-street, door-by-door approach. If your home is one of the 14,000 to benefit from the scheme, you will be given prior notice of when Home Energy Assessors will be in your area. All Home Energy Assessors are Disclosure Scotland approved and easily identified through wearing a Home Insulation Scheme uniform and carrying an ID card. What’s in it for you?
