Provides affordable high quality housing for rent only. Majority of housing is in Muirhouse (EH4) with 18 flats in Drylaw. Muirhouse Housing Association also provides advice and information on housing options available in Edinburgh. There are good bus links to all areas of Edinburgh and the city centre is only 3 miles away.

MHA's properties are maintained to a high standard and our repairs service is provided by a number of experienced contractors. Any property available for let will be in a good decorative condition or we will provide a contribution towards the cost of decoration. Our office is within 10 minutes walk of all our properties which means we are able to provide a very responsive management service to residents.

Although we do not provide any furnished accommodation, we can assist with referrals to various agencies that can provide a range of furnishings to individuals who are moving into a new home.  Our rents are reviewed once a year and we try to keep increases to a minimum (we just need to cover costs). Currently our rents are amongst the lowest in Edinburgh. We positively promote property exchanges, which is often the best way for someone who already has a tenancy to move to another property.  Exchanges are particularly useful if you are looking to move to a larger property - contact us for more information.  We work closely with the Council to help those in housing need and around 50% of properties that we have for let each year are offered to applicants who are nominated to us by the Council (contact us for more information on Council nominations).
