Recycling Points

You can recycle cans, cardboard, glass, paper, plastic bottles, clothes, shoes and other items at hundreds of points across the city.

Packaging points

Packaging points have green lids. You can recycle aerosols, cans, cardboard, cardboard drinks cartons, plastic bottles and tins here.

Paper points

Paper points have blue lids. You can recycle different types of paper here. Please DO NOT put cardboard or any other materials besides paper in these points. This causes contamination, and can result in a load being rejected from a paper recycling mill.

As well as paper and packaging, you can also recycle glass and textiles at many of Edinburgh's recycling points.
