Council Tax rates 2009/10

Council Tax is a local charge on all domestic properties. The tax is set by the City of Edinburgh Council to fund local services such as schools, libraries, leisure facilities and refuse collection.

Council Tax will not increase in 2009/10. This is equivalent to £1,169 for a band D property. However, Scottish Water’s household water and water waste chares will increase by less than inflation. For further information on these charges, please call Scottish Water helpline on 0845 601 8855.
