Council Tax rates 2007/2008Council Tax is a local charge on all domestic properties. The tax is set by the City of Edinburgh Council to help fund local services such as schools, libraries, leisure facilities and refuse collection. The Council is also required by law to collect water and waste water charges on behalf of Scottish Water and these charges are included in your Council Tax bill.
