The Director of City Development reported that an assessment of the condition of the building had indicated that the following work was the minimum required to preserve the building: a) Boarding up of windows or repairs to damaged glazing where appropriate. b) Clearance of blocked gutters, replacement of damaged and missing downpipes and work to ensure that all rainwater from the roof coverings were satisfactorily collected. c) Removal of vegetation from walls and parapet gutters. The Director recommended that the above schedule of work should form the basis of a notice under Section 49 of the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) (Scotland) Act 1997. Decision To serve a notice under Section 49 of the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) (Scotland) Act, 1997 on the owner of 59 Lauriston Place. (Reference – report by the Director of City Development, submitted).
