The popularity of placing tables and chairs outside premises in Edinburgh has grown over the past year. Many businesses and customers want to extend the hours that tables and chairs can be placed outside.

The City of Edinburgh Council is undertaking a review of the current permit system and the complaint / decision making process.  To ensure everyone's opinion is considered, a public consultation is being undertaken between 24th September and 12th October 2007.
