Jim is responsible for those services that relate to the Council's own stock of homes as well as those in the private sector across the city. This includes planning for investment and maintenance of Council homes, plus providing practical assistance and advice to owners and private landlords on keeping their properties in a good state of repair.

Assessment, Homelessness and Support Manager

Graham leads the housing support and accommodation services across the city, including the housing needs assessment service, Neighbourhood Support Teams, Young Person Service, Housing Support and Inclusion, Community Alarm Service and Temporary Accommodation.

david lyon David Lyon
Strategic Support Manager


David is responsible for the effective co-ordination of performance monitoring and service improvement across the city within the Housing & Regeneration Function. He is also responsible for policy review and development and the centrally based services such as Edindex. The Strategic Support Unit supports the devolvement of services to local neighbourhoods and the development of Local Community Planning. It provides consistent monitoring and review to ensure the quality and consistency of service across the city.

Michael Thain
Strategy and Investment Manager

Michael is responsible for developing and implementing the city's neighbourhood regeneration and housing strategies. He is also responsible for securing the investment and commissioning the services to deliver new affordable homes, better quality and better managed private housing and the best possible range of services across the city for people who need help to find a home.
