Temporary Accommodation

How to arrange temporary accommodation

If you need accommodation immediately, we can find temporary accommodation for you. We can also arrange for storage of your belongings and kennelling for your pets.

Depending on what temporary accommodation is available and your circumstances we can provide furnished flats, a place in a unit, supported accommodation, hostel or bed and breakfast. To access temporary accommodation you must have had a housing advice interview or a homeless assessment or be an existing tenant.

Private Sector Leasing (PSL)

We also work in partnership with the Link Group to provide temporary accommodation through Private Sector Leasing (PSL). PSL properties are privately owned and let through an arrangement between the Council, Link Group and the home owner. You can only be placed in a PSL property if you have had a homeless assessment, can live independently, have no history of antisocial behaviour or previous unresolved rent arrears and have evidence that you can claim housing benefit or that you are working.
