The Visiting Teaching & Support Service (VTSS) is the service for children with disability and their families.

We work with children and young people from birth and throughout their school years who have or are awaiting a diagnosis of a disability.

This would include pre-school children whose needs arise from:

  • Communication difficulties
  • Learning disabilities
  • Challenging behaviour
  • Physical difficulties

And learners of any age who may have:

  • Sensory disability (hearing impaired/visually impaired)
  • Speech and language impairment
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Down's Syndrome
  • Challenging behaviour arising from their disability

We work with families, early years settings and schools to develop programmes to progress the children's learning and offer advice and support regarding aspects of disability.
