Purpose of Committees

The Planning Committee is responsible for the development of strategic, city wide planning policies and initiatives; it prepares the Development Plan and is responsible for street naming. 

The Development Management Sub-Committee of the Planning Committee is responsible for deciding on planning applications, stopping up orders, tree preservation orders and related issues.
