Natural Heritage Sites offer the opportunity to experience wildlife, nature conservation and biodiversity first hand. The City of Edinburgh Council's Natural Heritage Service manages 12 Natural Heritage sites across the city. The service also provides visitor and countryside management services within the Pentland Hills Regional Park on behalf of the three Local Auhtority partners; City of Edinburgh Council, West Lothian Council and Midlothian Council.

Hermitage of Braid Walled Garden Project
The Natural Heritage Rangers, along with the friends of the Hermitage of Braid and Blackford Hill have successfully secured a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) and from Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH) to improve the walled garden at the Hermitage of Braid. Visitor Centre Opening Hours
Hermitage of Braid: Monday to Thursday: 9am - 5pm, Friday 9am - 4pm, Sunday 12 noon - 5pm (4pm in winter). Public Toilets, located at the stables, open Monday to Thursday 9am to 5pm, Friday 9am to 4pm.
Cammo Estate: Tuesday and Sunday 2pm - 4pm, Thursday 10am - 4pm
