Financial Statements - Public Inspection

1.  Introduction

The Local Authority Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 1985 specify the duty of each local authority to make available for public inspection the annual accounts to be audited, all related books, deeds, contracts, bills vouchers and receipts and copies of the abstract of accounts.

2. Public Inspection Period for the Financial Statements to 31st March 2011

The public inspection period for the abstracts of the accounts of the City of Edinburgh Council, Lothian Pension Funds, Forth Estuary Transport Authority, the Lothian Valuation Joint Board, the Lothian and Borders Fire and Rescue Board, the Lothian and Borders Police Board, and the South East of Scotland Transport Partnership for the financial year to 31 March 2011 has now expired.
