Self Assessments
Measuring performance represents only part of the process of delivering performance improvement.
The Council has adopted the Edinburgh Improvement Model (EIM) as the means of evaluating and driving service improvements. This is achieved through structured self assessment and the development and implementation of improvement plans.
The EIM is also known as the Public Service Improvement Framework (PSIF) and is used across a number of councils and public services in Scotland . The model will help services to gauge their:
- Performance
- to identify best practices and areas for improvement
- develop effective improvement plans
All Council services will have completed a self-assessment by September 2010.
