Director of Corporate Governance

Alastair gained a first in law at the University of Edinburgh. After completing a legal traineeship at Lindsays WS he became an assistant at Maclay Murray and Spens, before rising to become a Partner in Corporate and Financial Services.

Alastair was appointed Head of Legal and Administrative Services at the City of Edinburgh Council in 2009 and as the Director of Corporate Governance in September 2011.

He is married, with a son, and lives in Edinburgh. His personal interests include running, skiing and kayaking.
