Birth, marriage/civil partnerships and death


In Scotland it is compulsory to register births, still-births, deaths, marriages and civil marriages.  This can be carried out in any of the four registrars offices in Edinburgh.

The Registrars offices in Edinburgh operate by an appointment system. Please telephone the appropriate office to arrange an appointment.
