Edinburgh College (Sighthill campus) or Universities/Colleges outwith Edinburgh

If you are a student at Edinburgh College (Sighthill campus), or a University/College outwith Edinburgh, or you have opted out of your University/College sharing your matriculation details, you have to complete a 'Confirmation of student status form' (PDF). You additionally need to complete the online form to provide details of your term-time address.

If you are a full time student at Edinburgh University, Heriot Watt, Napier, Queen Margaret, Edinburgh College or Art, Edinburgh College (Granton campus), Edinburgh College (Milton Road campus), and provided permission for that organisation to share your matriculation details with the Council, you do not need to complete the student status form. You only need to complete the online form to provide details of your term-time address.

Report a change of address or other details

If you have already applied for student Council Tax discount / exemption and now have changed address or you are no longer a student or you are living with different people, you can inform the Council of the change using the online form Report a change of address, circumstances or personal details.
