Our automated telephone service on 0131 469 5000 is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year so you can get information at a time that suits you. Calls are charged at the local rate.
General enquiries can be answered by this automated service even when the office is closed - this means no waiting in queues or being put on hold.
This service is designed to answer all frequently asked questions, although where necessary, some of the options will give you the opportunity to speak to an advisor during opening hours.
They can help you with questions about your claim for benefit, pay a Council tax bill or enquire about a benefit overpayment.
Our opening hours are:
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 8.30am - 5pm
Tuesday 10.00am - 5pm
Friday 8.30am - 3.40pm

You can also Check your Council tax account online via 'Citizen's Account' and Use the Benefits online application form to apply online for Council tax and/or Housing Benefit.
