Skateboarding

There are a number of parks in Edinburgh where you can skateboard and bmx. The biggest, and newest, is at Saughton Park .

The award winning Saughton skate park covers an area of 2,100 sq.m and its layout combines a mix of street style and bowl features. The park is divided into three main areas that feature street style obstacles, transitioned ramps and bowls with the potential for flow and lines between respective areas. Further details on the features can be found on the Edinburgh Skatepark website.

The facility has artificial lighting to enable evening and winter use. The lights are timed to go on at dusk and off at 10.00pm. CCTV cameras provide remote surveillance of the skatepark and refreshments are available on site from the Food Box.
