From puppetry and children's theatre in the spring, to an arts extravaganza in the summer, to storytelling and fiddling in the autumn, and of course Edinburgh's world famous Christmas and Hogmanay celebrations in the winter, Edinburgh is the place to be at any time of the year.

The City of Edinburgh Council is committed to its festival programme.  As well as supporting a number of annual events, we work closely with Festivals Edinburgh and other organisations to ensure that the City's reputation as a festival destination is maintained.
