January 25th marks the annual celebration of Scotland's national bard Robert (Rabbie) Burns. The day of his birth is celebrated as Burns Night, with traditional Burns Suppers, poems and songs. Suppers started a few years after Burns' death by a group of his friends to honour his memory. Today Burns Suppers are held throughout the world to tribute the poet.
