Business Recovery Plan

Framework for Recovery

A Business Recovery Plan for Edinburgh City Archives was approved by the Council's Policy and Strategy Committee on 24 February 2009.  It was produced in response to a "Friendly Audit" carried out by the National Archives of Scotland in 2005.  The "Friendly Audit" concluded that the Council was not making 'proper arrangements' for its records.

The Business Recovery Plan provides a framework for recovery over a five year period and describes a forward-looking and professional archives service.

In order to develop the Plan fully, a consultation was carried out with key stakeholders to gain agreement on a shared vision for the Archives Service.  A summary of results is available.

As part of the recovery process, regular reports will be made available to monitor progress against the actions and timescales detailed in the Business Recovery Plan.
