Find out about Council CCTV cameras

Operating our Public Space CCTV cameras

With a network of 208 public space CCTV cameras our Central Monitoring Facility (CMF) is a valuable tool in tackling antisocial behaviour and crime as well as contributing to the development of safer communities.

What are public space CCTV cameras?

Public space CCTV cameras, are, as the name suggests, CCTV cameras that are viewing public space.  The cameras can be either permanent cameras and stay in that location or temporary cameras which are moved to previously agreed problem locations or to monitor special events if required.

Where are these cameras located?

View our interactive map to find out where our public space CCTV cameras are located.

Key:

Purple dots = permanent cameras

Pink dots = possible sites of temporary cameras.
