Trading Standards - product safety advice for businesses

Trading Standards enforces consumer product safety and we carry out a mixture of inspections, test purchases and project work, to ensure that the products available to consumers in Edinburgh are safe.

All products supplied in the course of a business should be safe. This can include products that are supplied in the course of a service, and installation and maintenance of equipment.
