Interpretation and translation

The Council offers an interpretation and translation service to customers who need language and communication support in accessing council services.

This service assists council services such as housing, schools, social work and also NHS Lothian Health Services to understand our customers. It also assists our customers to understand Council Services and NHS Lothian Health Services being offered to them.

• If you cannot speak English
• If English is your second language and your appointment includes discussion of complex issues which you need to understand
• If you have a visual or audio impairment
