Edinburgh autism plan

People with autism who do not have a learning disability

In November 2013 we agreed a plan for people with autism who do not have a learning disability.

We identified six priority areas for improvement

  • development of a care pathway
  • the wellbeing of young children and young people with autism
  • housing
  • employment
  • individual outcomes
  • training and awareness of autism.

Download the plan below.

The Edinburgh autism plan group makes sure that the recommendations in the plan are taken forward. The group is made up of

  • people who use services
  • carers
  • Council staff
  • NHS Lothian staff
  • voluntary sector staff.
