Edinburgh Partnership Single Outcome Agreement
The Edinburgh Partnership's key plan for the city
The Edinburgh Partnership Single Outcome Agreement (SOA) sets out the strategic priorities for Edinburgh and expresses them as local outcomes to be delivered by partners. It also shows how those outcomes contribute to the Scottish Government's National Outcomes.
In our SOA 3 for 2012-15, the community planning partners have focused their attention on outcomes and actions that will tackle some of the key economic, health, educational and social priorities in the city.
How we select our priorities
The Partnership regularly assesses a wide range of evidence in determining the city's strategic priorities. A summary of the evidence is set out in the SOA.
You can find out why we have chosen most of our priorities on the Understanding Edinburgh pages. Understanding Edinburgh presents the evidence base that informs the outcomes of the Edinburgh Partnership. It is intended that over time we will include the full range of thematic information which supports all our outcomes.
How we monitor the SOA
Progress on the SOA outcomes is reported every 6 months and we have a robust performance monitoring framework in place to do this.
The Edinburgh Partnership reports strong progress for April to September 2012. The Partnership has focused all actions on delivering its vision for the city: "Edinburgh is a thriving, successful and sustainable capital city in which all forms fo deprivation and inequality are reduced." Thirty indicators are on target; thirteen indicators are below target (but within acceptable levels) while ten indicators are below target during this time.
Read a brief summary of our progress for April to September 2012. The report and case studies can be read in full in the Edinburgh Partnership Board Papers for March 2013.
